Now that Lionsgate has acquired Summit, they inherit the entire Twilight Saga franchise. According to the CEO of Lionsgate, there might be a sixth Twilight film after Breaking Dawn - Part 2!

There’s a chance The Twilight Saga could continue after the fifth film opens in November. The bombshell was reportedly dropped by Jon Feltheimer, the chief executive officer of Lionsgate Entertainment, which acquired Twilight studio Summit Entertainment for $412.5 million on Friday. “I’m anticipating Breaking Dawn – Part 2 being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office,” said Feltheimer of the final (planned) installment in the hit vampire franchise. According to the Los Angeles Times, when asked whether Lionsgate could envision more Twilight past next fall’s fifth film, Feltheimer left the door open. “It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value,” he said. “It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration.” He added, “So the simple answer is, ‘Boy, I hope so.’” It’s not clear whether a potential continuation would involve future films or a television series.

'Breaking Dawn’ Allegedly Causing Seizures?

Reports have surfaced that some brief flashing scenes in Breaking Dawn is causing epileptic seizures in America (of all places). If you have watched it and made it out without getting one, then good for you.

*SPOILER ALERT* The scene is indeed brief and most of it has been cut from Malaysian cinemas. Still, proceed with caution

Fans of the “Twilight” movies have much more to worry about other than the series of films coming to a close next year, as a scene in the latest installment has reportedly been causing viewers across the country to have seizures. Several instances of people saying they have developed seizures during the tense birthing scene in “Breaking Dawn: Part One” have been reported. The in-theater seizures, also known as photosensitive epilepsy, are thought to be a result of the bright flashing of red, black and white during the film’s nerve-wracking scene.

Brandon Gephart and Kelly Bauman had gone to see “Breaking Dawn: Part One” last Friday when Gephart began “convulsing, snorting, [and] trying to breathe,” according to Bauman. He doesn’t remember anything, he says, but soon awoke on the theater floor and was taken out by paramedics. The remainder of the screening was cancelled. “It’s like a light switch going off, because it hits your brain all at once,” Dr. Michael G. Chez, medical director of pediatric neurology and epilepsy for Sutter Sacramento told CBS 13 in Sacramento, adding that “the trouble with theaters, it’s dark, the lights flashing in there is more like a strobe light.”

Instances of the scene inducing seizures have been reported elsewhere across the country. In Utah, a married couple told ABC-4 in Salt Lake City that bright, graphic scene caused the husband, who doesn’t want to be named for fear he could lose his job, to pass out and led to his entire body shaking. “I didn’t really remember what happened after that I think I blacked out. According to her, I was shaking and mumbling different noises,” he told ABC-4. His wife was sitting by his side in the theater. “He started mumbling and he was blinking on and off with his eyes at that point. I was kneeling in front of him slapping his face,” she said.

The couple said that they left early, and when they returned the next day they heard that it had happened to another girl watching the film too, though the manager of the multiplex where they viewed “Breaking Dawn” said he doesn’t know of that instance.

Erika Christakis wrote an amazing article on Twilight and its haters. The things she writes about, some are what I believe is so true. Judge it by yourself, it's really worth the read.

Hating Twilight is so 2009, and with the newest installment, Breaking Dawn, ruling the box office, the juggernaut hardly needs defenders. But the virulent seriousness of the haters is surprising. Many of the reviews have heaped disproportionate and moralizing scorn on an Oscar-winning director’s fantasy enactment of a young girl’s dreams and fears. Kristen Stewart and her co-stars have been excoriated for their “sullen” and “wooden” performances despite receiving respectable and sometimes highly favorable reviews in other movies in which they have starred.

The negative reactions fall in two camps: The dismissive camp simply mocks Twilight’s incorporation of silly, “moony” elements like undying love and the surprisingly authentic portrayal of wedding ritual, honeymoon jitters and the shock of unintended pregnancy; the topics are apparently too boring and unrelatable for most reviewers. The deluded camp, conversely, takes Twilight far too seriously, faulting it for leading young girls to mistake fantasy for reality in dangerous, disempowering ways.

It makes you wonder if some people missed the memo that hundreds of millions of females, like their male counterparts, enjoy their fantasy life straight-up weird, sexy, and implausible.

Why is it that female fantasies are such a source of derision and fear? The male species is allowed all manner of violent, creepy, ludicrous and degrading movie tropes, and while we may not embrace them as high art, no one questions them seriously as entertainment, even when sometimes we probably should. (Violent imagery is, after all, associated with violent behavior.) You want to saw someone in half or put their head in a vise? Showcase naked strippers as a fake plot device? Pair a beautiful and successful career woman with a slovenly, unemployed man? Pretend you are Wolverine? Go right ahead. We know you can’t really be serious. But watch a tender wedding night between a virginal, undead superhero and his teenage, human bride, and the scolds come out in force. Are parents worried that their teenage daughter actually wants to be impregnated by a 100-year-old vampire who can crush a headboard with his hands (and perform an emergency C-section with his teeth)?

Maybe part of the reason critics deplore these movies is not only because they are so unfamiliar with kooky heterosexual female fantasies but also because they don’t really like what these fantasies say about men.

The discomfiting reality of the Twilight phenomenon is the way it strips off the veneer of détente between the sexes. For all the progress we promised our daughters, women’s bodily experiences mark them in ways not only unimaginable, but also uninteresting and even repulsive, to men. When was the last time (or only time) you saw a movie that featured menstruation? (The Runaways, directed by … a woman.)

Most mothers know the sense of their body being taken over by aliens, and more than 500,000 women still die in childbirth every year worldwide. Is it really so surprising that we would be drawn to Bella’s gruesome tribulations? For all its tremendous ick factor and craziness, the vampire-hybrid delivery captured with excruciating realism the desperation (on poor Edward’s bloodied face) that attends a birth when things go badly wrong. You could hear a pin drop at the screening my daughter and I attended. The gothic horror felt more palpable because it merely exaggerated, rather than imagined sui generis, what many women go through every day. We sure know blood.

The other thing women know all too well is the lurking danger of men. The idea of a wildly earnest romantic lead who isn’t demanding oral sex in the high school parking lot (and who happens to look like Robert Pattinson) is all very appealing, no? Yet our perfect vampire man, alas, also has the capacity to inflict serious harm — much like in the non-cinematic world, as even 5-year-old girls can intuit.

You don’t have to read Steven Pinker’s fine new book on violence, The Better Angels of our Nature, to grasp that women have always been its singular victims. The devastating power of rape, which results in pregnancy 5% of the time, according to a 1996 study in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is its ability to “change the progeny” of a woman forever. This threat often clouds our real lives and it certainly clouds our confused notions of entertainment. Is it any wonder that the young man whose heart Bella tosses aside for Edward is, you guessed it, a wolf? As one of my jaded neighbors once opined, “All men is half dog.”

If this offends you, take a number. Women have long endured men’s insulting and unhinged fantasies. Just lie back and enjoy the estrogen drip.

As the next movie in the Twilight Saga film series nears its premiere, malicious hackers are taking advantage of Twilight fans by poisoning links in Twilight-related searches with malware, Norton’s experts warn. Some of the search terms which will return results infected with malware are “Nude pictures of Taylor Lautner,” “Robert and Kristin kissing” and “Twilight true love.” Clicking on some of the links resulting from these searches might get your PC, tablet or smartphone infected with viruses or keyloggers, so be extra careful when searching for Twilight-related material. Twilight Saga fans are a common target for malicious hackers. In April 2011, we’ve seen a Twilight game scam spread virally on Facebook, and similar scams have accompanied every movie in the series. Norton‘s experts expect to see even more Twilight-related malware, scams and spam as the excitement around the movie grows.

New York Times Writes About Bella's Wedding Dress

Just a week away from the US premiere of Breaking Dawn Pt. 1, The New York Times has a write-up on Bella's wedding dress, and details about where you can get an authentic replica of the Carolina Herrera-designed gown.

WHEN “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” opens on Friday, fans won’t be at all surprised to see Edward utter, “I do.” They already know the plotlines of the books better than their own ancestries. But there is one mystery — the design of Bella’s wedding dress — that has “Twihards” all astir and the studio behind the film, Summit Entertainment, as tightlipped as a sorority pledge.

The studio is betting that, as with other wedding gowns that have made it to the big screen, thousands of fans will want a copy of the dress for their own big day. To that end, Summit has taken the unusual step of licensing the design to a mass-market bridal retailer.

To whet appetites, the studio has been ever so slowly reeling out snippets of the dress. Back in mid-June, it placed a crumb of information on Twitter that Carolina Herrera had designed the gown, a piece if news that quickly made its way to wedding and fashion blogs.

Summit also released a still of the actress Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan on her big day. The close-up photo showed about a square inch of her wedding veil — alas, not even enough material to determine if it was lace or tulle.

You’d think it was another royal wedding.

Since the still’s release, even Mrs. Herrera, brought on by the “Twilight” author, Stephenie Meyer, hasn’t revealed so much as a silhouette or a neckline. Mrs. Meyer’s 2008 book, “Breaking Dawn (The Twilight Saga, Book 4),” offers only quick glimpses of the dress, like “a long line of pearl buttons” up the back.

“I wanted the dress to have a period feel without being actually vintage,” Mrs. Meyer, who collaborated with Ms. Herrera, said in an e-mail.

Mrs. Herrera, whose gowns typically begin at $4,000, was equally cryptic in an e-mail: “Of course, I was inspired by Stephenie’s description of the gown in the book,” she wrote. “I also took into consideration the personality and the style of the bride.”

After being sent repeated e-mails asking for an image of the dress, Eric Kops, Summit’s senior vice president for publicity, responded: “We are saving the reveal of the dress as a surprise for the fans when they see the film. Therefore, we aren’t planning to release any images showing the dress until after the film in theatres.”

Beginning Nov. 21, just three days after the movie opens, wanna-be Bellas can get authorized copies of the gown for $799 in 400 bridal shops, including 67 Alfred Angelo stores.

Denise Wash, the vice president for marketing at Alfred Angelo, said that the company’s version will be “more forgiving” in its cut to flatter brides of all sizes, up to 30. In an interview with Cineplex.com this past July, Ms. Stewart commented: “The dress was tight. It was so tight.” The designers of the copy also substituted Italian lace used in Mrs. Herrera’s gown with a less lavish grade.

Mrs. Wash said that the gown “had a secret code” throughout its development. The company manufactured the design at its own factory in China. “It was like working for the C.I.A.,” she said.

Alfred Angelo has a history with Hollywood. In 1950, the company sold a copy of the “Father of the Bride” wedding dress worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the film. The advertisement for the gown announced, “For Your Starring Moment.”

That symbiotic relationship between the film and fashion industries certainly predates Miss Taylor’s cinematic turn in tulle. Nearly two decades earlier, the elaborate bias-cut sheath worn by Claudette Colbert in the 1934 romp “It Happened One Night” made brides-to-be blush with envy.

“Within six months of the movie being released, there were, in stores across the United States, copies of that wedding gown with hang tags saying, ‘As worn by Claudette Colbert,’ ” said Sandy Schreier, the author of “Hollywood Gets Married.” “The studios had deals going with the manufacturers on the East Coast.”

Summit is no slouch when it comes to licensing this supernatural love triangle. Among dozens of other franchise-related products, the studio recently merchandised the coifs of “Twilight” with a line of hair tools like the Bella curling iron, which at $24.99 could be the perfect shower gift for any prospective bride holding her breath until the movie opens.

Hi Twilighters!! 3 years ago, I started this blog with little blogging skills. Back then, Twilight was not very well-known in Malaysia yet. Today, much is abuzz with the upcoming nationwide release of Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 in 2 weeks time.

Thus to celebrate both this blog's anniversary and the movie's release, I have made a special music video. It's based on Christina Perri's beautiful track 'A Thousand Years', and it's about Bella, having last-minute flashbacks right before heading to the altar for her wedding. Enjoy!!

Amadou Ly Reveals New Role in 'Breaking Dawn Pt. 2'

No, I haven't heard of this guy either, but a recent interview Amadou Ly did with Team Twilight sparked my interest. In this interview, he revealed that *SPOILER* there will be new coven in the movie which is not in the book!

How did you get involved with The Twilight Saga, and what was your audition like?
I received the audition notice from my agent and, as far as the preparation, I didn’t read the book during that time, however I watched all the films. So I basically spoke to a lot of my friends who are Twihards, and I have my sister who is also a huge Twilight fan. And I got as much info as I could, and then I went into the room, auditioned for the role, and walked out of there feeling pretty confident. And then two weeks later, I got the call that I booked the role.

So you had friends that were Twilight fans, but how familiar were you with Twilight before you auditioned?
The fun part is, a week before I received the audition, I was watching the first Twilight with some friends. And we were just at home watching the film, and I was a huge fan of it because for me, it’s just so amazing. I mean, vampires, what’s not to love about vampires? They’re cool. They’re sexy. There’s a lot of different combinations of things to love about them. So yes I was a huge fan.

Have you read any of the books now?
No, I have not read any of the books. Especially since my character, Henri, who is a new vampire actually, a new coven that was not in the book. Melissa Rosenberg blessed the fans with one new coven that were not in the books. So I was able to basically film without actually having to read the books. But I got informed as much as I could.

So Melissa Rosenberg created a new coven and you are the main person in that coven?
You will recognize me, and you will also recognize Janelle Froelich, so it’s me and her. And it’s gonna be amazing. The scene, the fans are going to love it.

Can you tell us where your coven is from?
Yes, we are the French vampires. Basically, my character Henri was born in France, and he is someone I was able to relate to as far as someone who is trying to put his life together and succeed in life. And also another great thing about it is that Melissa and Stephenie Meyer, they gave us the script but a lot of the back stories we got to create ourselves. So it was very fun to be able to do that.

What kind of back story did you give Henri?
A special power. A very cool special power. With my index power I can flick a person, and they are usually going to hit a wall or go somewhere pretty distant.

Would you say on set you spent the most time with Janelle?
Shooting-wise, yes. Also, the cast spent a lot of time together. I remember when I first walked into the hotel and saw all these people that I have seen in the films, and I was pretty nervous. However the way they embraced us is with open arms and I never felt like I was alone in there. And also we had a lot of new vampires, we became a great ensemble and we became a sort of family. We would all hang out.

Were you intimidated by anyone before you got there? Maybe by the success of Kristen and Rob and Taylor?
The good thing about this cast is that they were all so open and down to earth. I was, and still am, a huge fan of Michael Sheen. And being able to meet someone who really inspired me as far as my acting, I was really grateful for that. But as far as the cast goes, they were all wonderful and down to earth.

How did you get into acting? You were previously working on an engineering degree and then transitioned into acting. How’d that happen?
I participated in a robotic competition and led my team to the New York City Regional Championship in 2006. However, I used to be very shy when it comes to speaking to people. I was also dealing with immigration at that time and it caught the media attention and I started doing interviews but I was very shy. A friend of mine recommended that I started taking acting class. During this time, I had already started my engineering degree. It was like two years after I got into engineering. I started taking classes and I fell in love with acting. So I transferred from engineering into a theater degree and two weeks after I graduated, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream.

So you’ve been in LA for a couple of years now. You get into a major movie franchise. What are you planning to do next?
At the moment I am working on a pilot television series called Meter Maids. I am actually writing it. I am also getting ready for the first of the robotic season, the competition I did in 2006. In the meantime I am also volunteering at Project Angel Food, where we help feed 1600 people a week. The organization is something I talk about a lot, even on Twitter. It’s such a great organization. We prepare food and deliver it to people who are struggling. People with HIV, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses throughout LA County. I invite the fans to participate. You can go over there, pick a day that you are free and come and help out. You get free lunch, free breakfast, and to get more info about them you can go to their website at AngelFood.Org.

Have you done any movie premieres before? Are you prepared for the craziness this coming Monday?
I have to tell you that my first movie premiere was when Angelina Jolie invited me to The Changeling and I had a chance to walk the red carpet.

That’s pretty big!
But you know what? I was so nervous, I walked straight from the car straight inside. But this one I am hearing the fans are already there. I am nervous, I am excited. And I can’t wait to meet the fans and also to regroup with the cast.

I think you’ll be fine. It’s going to be fun. Do you worry about what you are going to wear?
I already got what I’m going to wear. And also my mother happens to be in the United States and I’m going to bring my mom.

Does your mom live here in the U.S. or in Senegal [where Amadou is originally from]?
She lives in Senegal. She happens to be here for a visit. And of course there is the premiere and I said “Well, Mom, you gotta come with me.”

You mentioned Angelina Jolie invited you to her premiere. How are you friends with her?
The Jolie/Pitt family have been very supportive of me throughout the years. I just love everything they do as far as helping out different people in need across the world. They inspired me a lot actually, not just to become an actor, but to also do something with it. To also take what you have and help people that are in need. So I am a huge fan of theirs.

If you could choose any other character in The Twilight Saga to play, who would it be and why?
Probably Demetri, Charlie [Bewley]’s character. There’s a lot of surprises in there for that character. And I think fans are going to love to see the Demetri that Bill Condon has waiting for them. But also I am a huge fan of my character, because he’s a brand new character, and also there are a lot of things the fans are going to love about the new characters. Yvette, Janelle’s character, and my character, there are lot of surprises and fans are going to love it.

Have you gotten to see the movie?
No I haven’ t had a chance to see the movie yet.

How did you like working with Bill Condon?
Oh my god. Bill Condon is like the most amazing director ever. And a funny story is, in 2006, another thing that inspired me when I was going through a lot of different obstacles was I watched Dreamgirls [directed by Bill Condon], and I saw Jennifer Hudson’s performance. And I was so in love with that performance, and it literally gave me more courage to pursue my dream as an actor. So having the opportunity to work with Bill Condon, when a few years ago, his film inspired me to pursue my dreams, is a huge deal for me. And also, working with him, he knows what he wants out of an actor. He’s very specific. But then again, he’s very supportive and he has such a great energy to him. He’s the best.

You have been pretty active on Twitter and Facebook. Is it fun getting to know Twilight fans?
The fans are lovely. Being able to talk to them on Twitter directly and them wondering about the character I am playing, it will be good that they’ll know now. It’s been great having the opportunity to talk with them and sometimes some of them are going through personal stuff. And sometimes they read my story and we chat one –on-one and encourage each other. Having that opportunity to talk with them directly, I’m grateful for that and they are the best. Hopefully they’ll see me soon at the premiere and they’ll see the film and love my character.

Anything else we should keep an eye out for?
I just want to say that there is a massive dance coming that I think the fans are going to love, also. They’ll see the cast in a different light and I think that’s something that they should look out for. And in the meantime, they can also get in contact with me via my Twitter page.

When might we see this dance?
Probably on the DVD.

Taylor Lautner is pushed to the limit in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1. From devastation to anger to shock, the 19-year-old actor explores every emotion as Jacob comes to terms with losing Bella to Edward.

Lautner talked to Parade.com about saying farewell to theTwilight franchise, and why he couldn't wait to call it a wrap on his final shirtless scene.Caution: Some spoilers ahead!

Why Jacob will always stay with him.
"He’s come a long way and he takes a huge step in this film. He really grows up a lot and he has to make some tough choices. I don’t know if I could fill Jacob’s shoes. When he’s in a tough spot, sometimes he doesn’t handle it so well, but I feel for him because I don’t know how I would handle it. But while I’ve loved playing him and appreciate all the attention I’ve gotten, I’m the same person I always have been."

Discovering Jacob's heart would be broken.
"The first time I read Breaking Dawn I was really surprised. Stephenie Meyer sent it to me and I was turning the pages and I’m like, ‘Is Jacob going to end up with Bella or not?’ I finally get to the chapter where he’s with Bella’s baby and that was a shocker for me. It kind of took a while to get used to that idea."

But he and Kristen will remain forever buds.
"We’ve become closer throughout the years and we are extremely good friends now. Sometimes on set, we’d catch ourselves just being Taylor and Kristen, laughing and being ourselves, and there just happens to be a camera rolling, and then that makes it in the movie and that becomes Jacob and Bella. It was great to just be able to mess around with each other on set and have fun."

The secret to his to-die-for abs.
"I’ve pretty much always been a pretty healthy eater and I don’t pig out. If I occasionally want ice cream or something, I can have it. I’ve always been really active. I grew up playing sports, so I’m always shooting hoops or throwing the football with my friends. I’m super-active in that sense."

He still suffered to look ripped.
"I had people bringing me food and shoving it in my face, saying 'Eat Taylor!' They sort of had to force me. Then I had to get my butt in the gym and that’s difficult because we were filming 12- to 15-hour days. I can definitely say that after my last shirtless scene, as soon as I wrapped, it was a huge celebration. I went out and had desert for the first time in a while, and I took few days off of the gym."

On his tearful goodbye to Twilight.
"In my last scene in Breaking Dawn, Bella has just died and I run outside and crumple to the ground and just lose it. I’m bawling. That was my last scene of Twilight ever and I definitely had some extra motivation."

On the encounter with fans that he’ll never forget.
"Kristen and I were doing interviews in a hotel in Brazil and all of a sudden our security barges in and locks the door. We’re like, ‘What’s going on?’ And they said, ‘Remain calm, but about 2,000 girls just broke through the hotel lobby and they’re on their way up the stairs to get to this room.' Then they went, ‘But it’s OK because we have the National Guard on their way.’ And the National Guard actually did show up and everything was fine."

He's looking forward to some downtime.
"When you’re working so hard, the number-one thing you want to do is wake up in your own bed and do absolutely nothing. You just want to sit on the couch all day. I have not been on vacation I think in, like, four years."

He managed to have a little fun while promoting Twilight Down Under.
"When I went to Australia, I went shark diving. It was crazy. It was called 'extreme' shark diving because even though we were in cages, we literally could touch the sharks swimming by. They were huge and I’m terrified of sharks. Then I went to a wildlife park and held kangaroos. That was nice."

On trying to get away from Internet gossip.
"It’s tough because sometimes you’ll just be on the web and things pop up or you get emailed something from a friend. It is definitely impossible to avoid stuff about me sometimes, but it’s pretty important to try. It’s very rare that things are true about yourself that are on the Internet. It’s just sad sometimes. So you definitely try and stay away from it as much as possible."

BD Pt. 1 gets a PG-13 rating in the States, and not an R rating as many has speculated due to many scenes that we already know that may just get this movie an R.

It is official that Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, directed by Bill Condon, has received a rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) of "PG-13," just like the previous three movies. This rating is based on "disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements" according to the MPAA label, so presumably they found a way to film some of the more controversial aspects of Stephenie Meyers' final book in a way that didn't get the movie a deadly R-rating.

Another scam involving Twilight has surfaced, this time using Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 as bait.

MSNBC reports:

Team Jacob or Team Edward? If you've got an answer, then you're a perfect target for a new "Twilight"-themed Facebook scam currently spreading around the massive, and massively exploitable, social network. Detected by researchers from the security firm Trend Micro, this new scam promises free tickets to see "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2."

Sounds great, right? Who wouldn't want free tickets to a wildly anticipated movie

There are two catches to this otherwise great offer. The first, of course, is that "Breaking Dawn, Part 2" isn't scheduled to hit big screens until Nov. 12, 2012, well after the Nov. 18, 2011 release of "Part 1." If that doesn’t raise a red flag, and you find yourself driven uncontrollably — like, say a vampire — to score these free movie tickets and see how the passionate relationship between Bella, Edward and Jacob ends — well, you're out of luck. Like past movie ticket scams that have preyed on Harry Potter fans, following this scam's directions will redirect victims to a malicious survey that, once filled out, requests their phone number.

"As past scams have demonstrated, giving one's phone number during one of these scams is a very bad idea and could result [in] the user being subscribed to premium-rate services," the tech blog Softpedia wrote. If you come across this, or any other suspicious-looking Facebook offers, ignore them, and never download any attachments, as they often harbor malicious software.

The Twilight Twitter page revealed the release date of the official Breaking Dawn Pt 1 soundtrack! Not much info is released, except that the release date would be on November 8th, 10 days before the movie premieres in the States.

It has not yet been revealed what bands and songs will appear on the Breaking Dawn, Part 1, soundtrack. There is likely a slew of songs that were submitted for the soundtrack, and knowing that only 15 or so will make the cut, we can expect to hear about several that almost made it. Famed music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas (The O.C., Gossip Girl) has been handling the soundtrack and the songs submitted for it.

Breva‘s song ‘The Stairs’ is one of the songs that was up for consideration. However, the song did not made it onto the soundtrack. Instead, the band has offered a free download of the song!

After playing the parts of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen for so long, is it any wonder that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson can get heated talking about their characters? When EW sat down with the two stars and their director Bill Condon to talk about the upcoming Breaking Dawn Part 1 (in theaters Nov. 18), the penultimate chapter of the Twilight Saga, the 25-year-old actor spoke frankly. “Look, there are a lot of moments when Edward sort of acts like a p—y,” Pattinson said. “You can quote him on that!” Stewart laughed. One example from Breaking Dawn? [Spoiler Alert!] When Bella is gravely ill, due to her pregnancy, yet still wants to spend time with the third prong of Twilight’s love triangle, Jacob (Taylor Lautner). “My wife is dying, I have completely f—ed up my life and hers, and Jacob’s like [To Bella] ‘Hey, baby, you don’t look too bad to me,’” Pattinson said. “And I’m just sitting there, like, with a bucket collecting [Bella’s] vomit. That really wouldn’t happen. I should have thrown the vomit at him.” Pattinson also has some tongue-in-cheek criticism of his character in relation to the highly anticipated flurry-of-feathers scene. “I wanted to have it as a line so much,” Pattinson told EW, switching to an American/Edward Cullen accent. “I bit through all the pillows. Every. Single. One,’” he laughed. “And then he’d start crying. By the way, that’s what he should be ashamed of in the morning. All those beautiful pillows! Summit Identifies 'Breaking Dawn' Photo Hacker, War of Words Ensues

A few months ago, some Breaking Dawn Pt 1 set photos leaked. Not sure if I posted any, but chances are, I didn't because it's leaked. I got into minor trouble once when I posted some leaked ones.

Back in March, Summit released a statement concerning leaks. The studio has now identified the hacker as a girl from Argentina.

Summit Entertainment isn't kidding around in its anti-piracy efforts on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The studio today took the unorthodox step of sending out a press release identifying the alleged culprit in a March hacking incident that ended with images of the highly-anticipated vampire romance film circulating on the Internet. Summit's release ID's Daiana Santia of Argentina as having been involved in a group that stole photos, unfinished images and video of Breaking Dawn, which will be released in two parts beginning in November. Summit's four-continent crusade involved the services of investigation firm Kroll Inc. and law firm Keats McFarland & Wilson, which located Santia and others in the northern Argentina town of Posadas. Civil actions have been filed in the U.S. and Argentina, along with a criminal action in Santia's home country. “While we very much appreciate the legions of committed fans of the franchise and encourage them to create community online, we cannot ignore that property was stolen,” says David Friedman, Summit's executive vp and general counsel. “It is not fair to the majority of fans that want to see the final chapter of the Twilight Saga film franchise fully realized by the filmmaker and dedicated cast and crew to have these images out and available on the Internet.”

Santia spoke out in a press conference about this, denying that she was the hacker.

* First and most important this is NOT about greed or the Studio wanting to bully a woman from a small town in Argentina – rather, it is about stolen material that is private and sensitive which was obtained by illegally accessing private/secure servers as well as personal email accounts. Ms. Santia’s actions came to light after these materials began appearing on the internet towards the end of March, 2011. Since Summit learned of Ms. Santia’s involvement in late May 2011, Summit has been in contact with Ms. Santia and her representatives with no resolution or further good faith efforts on their part, thus the only alternative left was to pursue legal action to ascertain that Ms. Santia no longer holds the images and video in any shape or form. Prior to said action the studio clearly communicated to Ms. Santia and her representatives that a press release would be distributed naming the actions being taken as well as naming her specifically.
* Summit’s first meeting with the Santia family occurred on May 31, 2011 at which point the studio was told they would fully cooperate. A subsequent meeting took place on June 8, 2011 with Ms. Santia and her lawyer at which time Ms. Santia confessed to the intrusions. It is also important to note that Ms.Santia is 24 years of age. The family was contacted as a group as the IP address used was registered under a family name.
* Specifically on June 8, 2011 Ms. Santia confessed in the presence of her attorney that she accessed servers and email accounts via a systematic attack -- stealing photographs, unfinished images and video footage over several months. Additionally there is indisputable evidence linking her directly to IP addresses that were used in the unauthorized access. Her actions appear to be premeditated and not done on a whim, but rather using technology and tactics that require thought as well as time and skill. Because Ms. Santia decided that she does not want to cooperate, Summit has been unable to settle this matter privately with Ms. Santia and her representatives in Argentina.
* Ms. Santia claims to have deleted the stolen materials off her lap top as well as her family’s desktop computer, however both common sense and historically similar cases have proven that a defendant’s word cannot be taken as final. Additionally, Summit must confirm the extent to which Ms. Santia shared the materials with others.
* When first approached by Summit, Ms. Santia’s representatives indicated their willingness to permit Summit to review the computers. Based on this communication, Summit flew technical experts to Posadas, only to have Ms. Santia renege on their offer after the arrival of these experts. To this day, Ms. Santia has refused to cooperate in giving Summit access to these two computers to verify for itself that the images and footage have in fact been deleted, and to confirm the extent to which files were shared. We do not feel this is an unreasonable request but rather a prudent move to protect the IP and the studio. Additionally the studio has made an offer to have representatives chosen by Ms. Santia present when the computers are searched in order to protect the Ms. Santia’s privacy relating to anything else that is not related to this particular situation as they are of no interest to the studio.
* Had Ms. Santia cooperated Summit and its representatives would have worked with her to reach a compromise that would not necessarily involve legal action in Argentina and the United States.

I've decided to change the blog's name. The blog's former name was Twilight Malaysia. Why?

Since there's another fansite formed after mine called Twilighters Malaysia (yes, it has been declared official) up and running (and more famous than my own), I'm changing my blog name to something different mainly to avoid confusion.

Don't worry, I'll still be updating the blog as usual with Twilight-related news.

Also, I'm no longer using the Twitter account, so ... yeah.

So we got the short teaser the other day, and guess what: Hours ahead of the MTV Movie Awards 2011 LIVE show, the full Breaking Dawn Part 1 teaser LEAKED!!! It freakin' LEAKED!! Anyway, I've seen it, and it's EPIC. ~~But since it's not right to post before it should be shown by MTV (poor them),~~ I shall post up something that was released officially: the wedding invite!

It's the event the world has been waiting for: You are hereby invited to the wedding of Isabella Marie Swan and Edward Anthony Masen Cullen. MTV got their hands on the official "Breaking Dawn" wedding invitation that was used in the movie for Bella and Edward's nuptials. And if you caught the red-carpet pre-show during the "America's Best Dance Crew" finale, then you've already seen it with your own two eyes. Outlined in lavender and with the Cullen seal in wax embedded on the envelope, MTV has the exclusive invite to the wedding of the century.

"Together with their families, [Bella and Edward] request the honor of your presence at the celebration of their marriage," the invitation reads.

"I think that it's really interesting that they don't include the parents' names," Kallie Matthews of Twilight Series Theories said. "That's very traditional for most families to have father and the mother's name and actually the parents inviting the invitees to the wedding. In this case, it kind of makes me wonder if Charlie is really upset about the wedding happening, and the Cullens then decided not to put their names on the invite out of respect."

Also of note, the wedding date has been pushed forward from when it happened in the book — our deductive math skills reveal the wedding technically took place in 2006 — and is now occurring on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. "A lot of people had an idea of when the wedding would be, but now having this firm date, it's going to be huge," said Kara Hassell of Twilighters Anonymous. " 'Twilight' fans screaming, you'll hear them from your house, they'll be everywhere. It will be a big date, there will be lots of parties, especially because the movie doesn't come out until later this year, so people will be looking for something to celebrate." If you feel like honoring that time frame with a visit to Forks, Washington, then you will be happy to know that the wedding is officially taking place at 420 Woodcroft Avenue. Unfortunately, based on a quick Google Maps search, that location doesn't actually exist, but maybe Summit Entertainment will work their magic to make it happen.

Definitely the coolest part of the invitation, though, is the official Cullen crest emblazoned on the wax seal on the envelope. Check your local Hot Topics to see if the Cullen crest becomes the next piece of "Twilight" merchandise that everyone starts sealing their letters with. "The seal is really cool. I really love the color and the context on the seal," said Laura Byrne-Cristiano of Twilight Lexicon. "It's got the Cullen crest that we first saw with the first 'Twilight' movie and it's a really nice, rich color. It looks really cool. I like that a lot."

As if Summit's fine warning isn't enough, a statement was issued by Summit and Stephenie Meyer.

“As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as a work in progress have leaked on the internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage.

The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.

Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.

USA Today recently interviewed Stephenie Meyer, and she revealed some details.

Content of The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide

"My favorite part is the vampire histories. There's a lot there that's new. Alice's back story is one no one has known until now. And I think fans will be surprised at how much fun Victoria's story is."

Whether Midnight Sun is still a possibility and what she's doing now

"I'm hoping to do it someday because I know that's what people want. No matter what book I put out from here to eternity they'll want Midnight Sun, but I'm just not writing about vampires right now."

As for what she is writing about right now and what fans might be seeing from her next, she explained:

"It's a fantasy that takes place in another world where people are using bows and arrows and swords. There's a little bit of magic, but it's a very limited form of magic. The characters are human, and some have the ability to use magic and some don't. It's pretty dark. People die. The main character is a 17-year-old girl, and she's kind of cool."

Summit Fines Leaked Photos!

Tsunami Warning Forces Twilight Crew to Flee Filming Location

As a post-effect of the devastating Japan earthquake, a tsunami warning has forced the Breaking Dawn crew, all the way in Vancouver, to evacuate the set. Summit posted on the official Twilight page:

Due to the tsunami advisory, filming of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has been delayed. All cast and crew were evacuated to the movie production's base camp. Everyone is safe and sound.

So how does the earthquake affect Vancouver? Twilight Lexicon explains.

The cast and crew were filming in the Tofino area which is on the coast. It’s the same area where some of the cliff diving sequences were shot for New Moon. The cast was onsite when moved very early this morning local Pacific Time as a precaution.

Much of the West Coast of North and South America is/was under Tsunami advisory/warning. Additionally, it should be noted that LaPush is also under the same warning. Current thought (as we post this at 1:30 East Coast Time) is that they are not anticipating major damage in the area, but people along the coast should listen to local authorizes and abide by their directives as to what is considered “safe ground”.

Potential Oscar Surprise

No Twilight stars at the Oscars this year, y'all. However, Oscar producer Bruce Cohen says there's another surprise in store.

After releasing, via a Twitter video, that there will be a surprise for all the Twihards out there, Bruce furthered “Robert, Taylor, and Kristen will not be on the show but, the next best thing is going to happen and it will blow people minds.” Although Cohen wouldn’t reveal the surprise, he did let on what it is not, including it’s “not a live element at all…not technically CGI…and not the trailer for ‘Breaking Dawn.’”

Multiple Actresses for Renesmee

If you've read Breaking Dawn (and you should have!), Renesmee grows up real fast, being all half-vampire, half-human and all. Thus, the producers decide to have a few actresses play her.

At least, her body doubles. Mackenzie Foy is still the main actress for Renesmee, though. Here's the scoop.

Breaking Dawn's Renesmee will be played by 10-year-old actress Mackenzie Foy. She is Renesmee. However, she will also be played by three other young actresses -- Eliza Faria will play Renesmee at age 5, Rachel St. Gelais will play Renesmee at age 6, and Sierra Pitkin will play the oldest Renesmee -- but not the way you might think. After all, it wouldn't be much fun to watch a character whose face is completely different every time she ages in a flash.

So special effects artists that also worked on Avatar, behind the movie are going to superimpose Mackenzie Foy's face on the three other actresses' bodies in the scenes where she is at varying ages/sizes. The digital effects used will be similar to those used on Brad Pitt in the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

This also means that there are more baby size Renesmees that have been cast, that we haven't heard of yet, to close the gap from birth to age 5. Or are we going from the birth to age 5 in a flash in Breaking Dawn? That is a little food for thought.

Carter Burwell, who is back for Breaking Dawn, recently updated his website and posted up a delightful piece of news.

He (Carter Burwell) just wrote "Renesmee's Lullaby" for Twilight Breaking Dawn 2, which Rob Pattinson will play on camera. The film will be released in November 2012.
